Re: Why is this Cloud storage thingy so important? - bhaveshp - 06-07-2011 I think one of the most important aspects of iCloud is that it enables iOS devices to cut the USB cord to a Mac/PC. I've got friends who hate using iTunes on a PC and therefore never considered iPhones. I've got relatives who barely use / don't have computers as well. I also know some who own iPads / iPhones and NEVER sync after initial activation. All of these users will be served with iCloud. This will further enable sales. Re: Why is this Cloud storage thingy so important? - chopper - 06-07-2011 10.4 is still the best OS. I'm sorry, but it's true. Re: Why is this Cloud storage thingy so important? - yeoman - 06-07-2011 This will no doubt prompt negative response but there's very little music I listen too these days - must be getting old!. I have 100GB of music ranging from the classics, jazz, blues, rock (sans rap) and the only music I routinely enjoy is the same old stuff when exercising - Fleetwood Mac, CCR, Stones, Duke, Ella. We just drove 1700 miles over 4 days and not once did we listen to music (we did play some Great Courses). I guess iCloud isn't for me. Some of the other free syncing that iCloud seems to offer could be useful if I hadn't already set them up with Google Send Google a message: Leave. Re: Why is this Cloud storage thingy so important? - Numo - 06-07-2011 I see the logic of the cutting the cord thing. Why should everyone have to have a PC, anyway? Both run everything I need on the interwebs. Re: Why is this Cloud storage thingy so important? - DP - 06-07-2011 DP wrote: I'm not dissing Apple. Everyone with Apple stock wants them to make money. My brother had to get a newer browser to log into a Citrix interface on the GF's G4 mini. 10.4.x would not cut it. |
