what doe stubbornness gain you?
apple made the change because there are clear and unambiguous advantages to working the new way. spend the small amount of time it takes to learn how it works and you'll be much better off.

I used to use Tex-Edit Plus a lot. http://www.tex-edit.com/
It was updated for Lion and Mountain Lion recently. I think it still is Save/Save-As.

Those are extra features. Why do these new abilities bother you?
