Bye bye Reader, then. Thanks!

edit

P.S. On second thought, maybe I'll just keep a copy of the installer if I ever need it.

You cannot do fillable forms with Preview. It also doesn't render PDFs correctly all the time(not that Acrobat is perfect, but preview is wrong a lot more).

That may or may not matter to you depending on how you use PDFs.

I've seen fillable form that work in Preview, here's an example.

Don't bother, by the time you'll need it, there will have been updates that obsolete is.

Like the overwhelming majority above, I use Preview almost exclusively and have for some time.

I use preview, acrobat and acrobat reader. Each has its uses.

I still use Acrobat Pro sometimes. Thanks to Adobe's recent "generosity" with the CS2 apps, I now have Acrobat Pro 8. Acrobat Pro 7 (and earlier) was part of my workflow for years, back when I was still doing that kind of work.

I had proof this weekend that the CS2 authorization servers are truly gone. Unfortunately, I had to do some work on a website and launched GoLive. It had been migrated to the Mac Pro along with my other CS2 apps, but I had never launched it since migrating that particular drive. Sure enough, it went looking for an authorization server. Luckily, I still have my little workaround for the authorization process; but it was definitely soothing to know that I could just reinstall GoLive and use the "free" serial number. I needed some soothing because the last time I did any real work on this site was probably 2005, when I converted it from a tables-based layout to CSS. I remember virtually nothing about CSS now. Time to break out the books.
