iPh 5 and it's rubbish... I'm charging it up and burning through the battery probably at a rate of 2 charge cycles per day on average. Then again, a battery that lasts only 3 days would be rubbish to me. It's unacceptable in these times. I use my phone all day long for just about everything so it's all relative I suppose. I wouldn't expect it to last any longer than it does. I'd prefer it (and every other smart phone) did, but it doesn't.

Motorola RAZR MAXX HD - have gotten 2 days out of it most of the time.

For light usage, end of the day battery percentage is still like 70% left.
Typical usage ~ 50% left
heavy usage ~30% left.

I bought this phone specifically for the battery life.

My wife's original iPhone still lasts a 1.5 days asleep and most of a day if she is using it to make calls. My 4 makes it about 9 hours and my son's 3GS gets through a day of texting.

Space,

4S under iOS 7. Just had it replaced by Apple under Applecare a couple of weeks ago. I typically start using it with a 100% charge at about 7:00 am. By 6:00 or so, when I get home from work, after typical usage - calls, email, web, games and app tasks, it'll be down to 45% to 50%. By the time I connect it to the charger, it'll be 5% to 20%. I must charge it each night. The battery life under iOS 6 was a bit better but not much. Overall, the battery life on a smartphone is awful. No ifs, ands or buts.

Robert

With heavy data usage and lousy reception, I can drain my 4S battery in under 2 hours.

This sucks if I am using my phone as a GPS when I am out in the woods hiking or camping. Now I pack a few external batteries to charge my iPhone.

My typical is light usage and my iPhone 4 is usually at 75-80% 24 hours later. Mid usage it goes to about 50%. Heavy usage I can get it down to 20% but that's rare.
