Iboob? No wonder he wants to massage the screen!

Tiger for best performance.

The biggest problem is finding a decent browser, which is why I finally ipgraded my eMacs to the cheapest white plastic C2D iMacs running 10.6.

I wouldn't mind having a couple of those

I'm pretty sure I heard it was called an iBoob from someone here...

At any rate, should I keep it, or return it to the dumpster? Sounds like it's more hassle than it's worth to put it to good use... I just thought it looked cool.

To use it as-is isn't worth it in my opinion. I contemplated stuffing a mini inside my old one when it died. But realized there was no way to hijack the video easily.

1.25 GHz model has USB 2.0

Yup, let me find out exactly which model this is... I'm inclined to keep it if it's the 17" with at least 1Ghz, and as decay says, USB2.0 would be nice.

I've never heard of it being called an iBoob. ILamp, Sunflower, yes. But never iBoob.

Even igloo, never iBoob.

Agreed.

I remember something years back about Apple rejecting a bunch of iBoob apps, but noting about the G4 iMac ever being called iBoob.

Not to beat a dead horse, but here's someone referring to it as such: http://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=246255

Hmmm... underside of this machine says 1.25Ghz, 1024MB, 80HD, Airport. I think I got lucky... that should be the USB 2.0 version, right?

I remember "iBoob". There's gotta be something you can do with that machine. I'd say that's a sweet find. kj.
