I always felt like I wiped off with baby oil after using Ivory.. while irish spring goes away immediately. No softener here. But then I hate shower gels too.

Guess I'm weird.

Another vote for Dr Bonners. Buy it at Target.

Dr Bronner rinses easier in cold water than anything else in hot.

This is the stuff:

Sounds like your water is too hard.

When I go to my brother in laws in Owego NY I have the same problem. They use Irish Spring but have hard water and it's a real bear to get the soap off - feels kinda slick and slippery. Lots of rubbing to get to just skin. I use Irish Spring here in Merrimac, MA and it comes right off no problem. I'd also agree that it may be your water.

But they take forever to rinse off. If I'm running late and grab a quick shower, I feel like 90% of the time is spend rinsing off.

that's whats sticks to the shower walls even with a squeegee. I switched to a liquid shower soap.
Bronner or TJs. Anything without the hardeners of bar soap.

Another for Dr. Bronners, I use the liquid and it rinses quickly and squeaky clean.

I'll give Dr. Bronners a look-see.

Our water is great, not a problem.

My shampoo rinses very quickly and my hair is squeaky clean.

Costco has Dove on sale from time to time, I'll give it a shot, too.

Hm.

Is that what causes some soap bars to evaporate almost overnight? I may have to buy soap by the pallet or 55gal drum.

Thanks for all the info, guys!
