This, plus the golden rule of relationships: Don't talk about past relationships.

Inviting comparisons invites discord.

Iv always discussed that stuff after we made love the first time. Not immediately after, but not before. And the conversations tended to get shorter the older I was.

.....not in the beginning........questions like that may pop up long term.......

Re: new relationship - DinerDave - 02-13-2017

There is a difference between sharing info about yourself, and divulging too much.

Re: new relationship - Drew - 02-13-2017

In my very limited experience, at some point the lady will want to talk about the one(s) that hurt her, while the man will be tempted to talk about the one(s) that annoyed him. I recommend that the man not go there, because the lady will think that she's being compared.

Trust your gut. Unless your gut routinely gets you in trouble, in which case do the opposite.

Re: new relationship - NewtonMP2100 - 02-13-2017

.....again, someone shouldn't be asking such personal questions in the beginning [ MIGHT be red flag ]......this type of questions should be avoided but if discussed in a long-term relationship.......not a new one......
