I still have a landline for the small biz. I would have to make a lot of changes before eliminating it, so I keep it. Signs, rental agreements, business cards, et cetera.
One benefit is that if the power goes out, I can still call... no one.

yes, used one pair for DSL when it was available.

There are RJ11 jacks in most of my home's rooms but it's not connected out at the box. Cell phone for 99.99% of the time. I have used the phone line capability on ScumCrap triple play a few times, like when my brother was visiting and needed to send a FAX because his mobe was so lame.
