.....Dry shampoo works simply: the alcohol or starch in the product soaks up the excess oil and grease in your hair, giving it a cleaner, fresher appearance. Traditionally, shaking corn starch into hair has achieved the same effect, but most current products deliver the drying agents via an aerosol spray........

I was introduced to the use of corn starch as a dry shampoo over 40 years ago by a fellow dishwasher at a place I worked. Worked to get the grease and oil that we were exposed to in the kitchen out without taking a shower. This place provided showers! Downside is that it works best for people with light colored hair, getting out all of the powder so it doesn't look like you have dandruff with dark hair is a pain.

Never heard of dry shampoo before. Dry carpet cleaners, but not shampoo. But now I have. Thanks, Dry Shampoo Marketing Department!

"When you can't shampoo, Minipoo"

I remember this years ago.

It was a dry powder shaken and brushed out. It was supposed to absorb oil.

Supposedly, it was created for people stuck in hospitals.

One's hair gets oily after a few days and nobody wants visitors, unlike TV.

there was a product in the late '70s I think, called Pfffft, which was cornstarch in an aerosol can. Dry shampoo.
