Anytime a "SurePost" delivery option pops up, you can be pretty "sure" it won't be delivered on time. That's because USPS… and that's whole 'nother topic by itself.

keep clicking around starting with the Get Help Pages. You'll find a Contact Us Link that take you to a Chat page. If you don't want to Chat there's a link on the page for them to call you. I've found Amazon to be one of the few places that will call you in the exact time frame they specified.

I've had positive results with just picking up the phone and calling my local Post Office. No holding. No menus. No 800 number. (tu)

I could give that a try.

What's the number for your local Post Office?

I just got off the phone with my local post office.
Indeed there was no on-hold, no menus, just a real person who was able to investigate the tracking number I dictated.

The postal employee stated that a pallet/skid of packages was unloaded from the Amazon truck. The scan on the skid indicated that the package was present (I presume a manifest was scanned), but the package in question wasn't in the load. Thus Amazon made a mistake by not actually delivering it to the local postoffice. It compounded the mistake by stating to me in its customer-facing order interface that the package was "Delivered" to me.

Similar situation here. Ordered 3 items, all Prime-Fulfilled By Amz on 11/28 with
delivery by Mon. 12/02. First two items delivered Mon. by Amz.
Third item reported Friday as on UPS w/ tracking #. Check UPS, no such # in their system.

Do all the clicking on links mentioned above, get to chat and after five minutes or
so I obtain the real UPS # showing the package didn't ship until Sunday!

ka-ching, $15 promotion credit!. (Original order was only $20.)

Item delivered today :emoticon-tv-015:
