that is absolutely, perfectly ok. We NEVER were a country in complete agreement, but in the past we have managed to work together and I thank Pence's work for the last couple of weeks in his efforts to bring back some degree of normalcy. If you're a news junky, you noticed that it was Pence that performed the minor presidential duties since the 6th. He's been a proper gentleman in the last days of office - that is all we ask in this situation - it was WAY too much for Trump, but Pence showed he could be human when it mattered. He will be a nice footnote in history for these last few weeks. Because his career is over as a pol.

Maybe it's a variant of the old joke: There are some things even Mike Pence won't do.
Like, how could he have made an attempt to subvert the election on January 6 without making a total fool of himself? Had he made any such attempt, the House could have gone into session and impeached him on the spot, and Nancy Pelosi would have been acting president at this moment and for a while longer. Either that or on January 6, McConnell and Schumer would have joined in a motion to overrule him and he would be facing going down in the history books as even more of a fool.

Former VP's, their spouses and children under get secret service protection for six months after leaving office. The can be extended if the Secretary of homeland security orders it.

As the supposed head of the Covid Commission. he is an accessory to Trump's murder of over 400,000 Americans.

He flew to Columbus, IN, his hometown where he still has friends. He does now own a home in Indiana, however, and I have not seen what plans he has. He needs a job.
