well, no. But, I am entertaining the idea of asking a friend for a loan….if i decide it’ll work for my needs.

Also thought I could sell my Acer Nitro 5 laptop. If I cleaned it up I might be able to get $350

probably a good idea to sell some older gear you don't really need and consolidate your computing into a more modern platform such as Apple Silicon series.

Sorry, I can't possibly read the words in that image. What does it say?

if you can test iCloud login/activation before purchasing, worth a shot for sure.

A lot of times these sorts of deals can be scams of some sort, but there are legit good deals to be had in some cases.

It’s just to show it’s been wiped and is ready to activate.

Now I’m a bit worried. I talked to the seller and he is out of town with his sister (which checks out with the description in the posting) but he wants to ship it to me and for me to put down $50 to hold it. Maybe I’m being too cautious? I’m just worried I send him the money and he doesn’t send anything or sends an empty box.

Use PayPal and not Family and Friends. If real, it’s a screaming deal. If not, just contact PayPal and claw back the $50. But make sure to document every step of the transaction.

I doubt this is a good idea. Sound like a scam as posted in the other thread.
