Re: I sprung for the MacConnection MacBook 2.16 deal - jdc - 12-18-2007 drive in macbook takes about 15 mintues to replace Re: I sprung for the MacConnection MacBook 2.16 deal - olnacl - 12-18-2007 Final decision: Went with Rev C 2.2 for a little more than $100 extra. I thought I'd done my homework, but you folks showed me I missed a few tricks. Next time I'll ask before I pull the pin. Thanks especially to deckeda and jdc for their really useful information, and eveytone else who chimed in. Re: I sprung for the MacConnection MacBook 2.16 deal - olnacl - 12-19-2007 Since I already had an order placed with MacConnection, I just changed my order. They offered Fusion free after Rebate, which I didn't realize on the first order, so I added that as well. 8 GB of RAM already orderd from our sponsor - 4 for me and the other 4 is a Christmas gift for my nephew's MacBook Rev B (so it will recognize only 3.3 GB as I understand), currently limping with 1 GB, I believe. |
