That is cheap,

Centurytel the only high speed available for me is $35/mo and that is with $5 discount for bundling with unlimited landline phone for another $35.

Like Bill in NC, I'm paying $10/mo for 768/364.

12-month commitment for new AT&T customers only, which I was when I moved from a VZ area to an AT&T (SBC) area.

My phone bill is only $12/mo including taxes, local measured rate. VZ was $20/mo w/taxes for same service.

I think I'm getting senile. When you you said basic I didn't make the distinction of that as a generic term and also ignored the 1.5Mbps. I fixated on "Basic" as the label for the service you had, which is 768K.

Anyway, if you were to downgrade, take the speed you have now and halve it. It might not be worth the $5/month savings.

768KB is fine for browsing.

I do Unbox downloads overnight, though. Smile

I've switched those here who don't have AT&T to Roadrunner's 768KB service ($20)
