On TV Stein appeared brilliant due to the pairing. Had he been paired with Jon Stewart or Homer Simpson rather than Jimmy Kimmel, the result might have been different.

Ben Stein graduated from my High School, back in the day. I saw him at one of the football games when I was a student, kinda cool to see a famous alumnus.
