Dunno why they can just use the top of the line graphics and lose 15 minutes of battery life.
GT330 is in nVidias "performance" category, but there are 3 cards above it

The processors are obviously faster, and the graphics are updated (though Apple is always lagging in this department), but "Faster everything" isn't even close to being accurate.
I agree with M A V I C on some points. There will be no USB 3 on any Intel based computer until 2010 unless the motherboard manufacturer decides to add it. A USB 3 ExpressCard was just announced, so I guess you could get USB 3 on the 17" MacBook Pro if someone makes drivers for it.
eSATA is faster than FW800. The vast majority of products that use FW800 are hard drives that could frequently benefit from the faster interface. The first i7 laptop I clicked on at Newegg did not have USB 3, but it did have a powered eSATA/USB port.
Yay, they gave the graphics a solid boost, the MacBook Pro finally has a significantly faster GPU than is in my 4 year old Dell laptop.

That was the only disappointing thing I saw, but it really bugs me.
It sounds like DELL's or Comcast's, or somebody's really poor marketing. Sound's like really cheap spin.

Huh? USB3 mobos have been shipping since 2009... if not as of a few months ago.

Yep. I want them to either make it a Pro laptop, or rename it the "MacBook Mediocre." But today's update is still pretty big. I think they should just get their heads out of the clouds as to what they actually did.

Turbo Boost is actually pretty cool. On quad core processors, if a process is not taking advantage of multiple cores, it turns off two cores and diverts the power to the other two cores to dynamically overlcock them. That way if you have something going on that needs one fast core, it will run faster.

Huh? USB3 mobos have been shipping since 2009... if not as of a few months ago.
I will admit that it might not be worded in the best way. It is not a native Intel chipset feature or in any reference design.
Edit: I could not find any laptops with USB 3 in a quick search of current retail stock. If Apple had put in on a MacBook Pro, it might have been a technology first, something they used to do.

Well, with a faster processor USB 2.0 should actually be faster given that it is bound to CPU performance.
