I do have a polk audio subwoofer PSW10 and it has speaker out connections. No idea if it's any good or not but maybe it could make it so I don't need a receiver yet. EDIT: The problem is my tv only has optical out and the sub only has RCA in. Cerwin-Vega: I found a great pair of Cizek speakers (mostly a regarded local brand) that have CV drivers. they are great, especially for the $20 I paid.
