Paul makes an excellent point here, space-time. Also, this person must be part of the longest-term internship in the world. Hire her or release her back into the wild -- you can't keep her penned up forever, ya know. I would think after a year or so HR would start asking questions.

Count another Jennifer fan here. I fell in love with her after A Beautiful Mind, though I'd seen her in lots of other stuff before that, and I agree with vision63 about The House of Sand and Fog ... if you haven't seen that one, go rent it immediately. Very depressing, but Jennifer is phenomenal in it.
