That's mostly the four doors too. My salesman says they sell 50 4-doors to every 2-door model! A fellow teacher said she was in heaven when Jeep started building them. She, too, always wanted one but with kids she had a minivan. Now she's got her Wrangler!

But hal, you could've driven to the top of that isosceles triangle at Hetch Hetchy and gotten some even more amazing pix!
I prefer the 2 door over the 4 door. Same with the soft top. To me, THAT says classic Jeep! SO much easier to take off when the weather is nice.
The same thing happened to PU Trucks. It used to be ALL regular cab, 2 door pickups. Now the majority are extended cab 4 doors. Yuck! IMO, a car with a box in back. Try finding a regular cab pickup on a dealers lot. It aint easy.

Oh, forgot another story. The dealership gave me a set of locking lugs. My salesman said that thieves will look for a bunch of Wranglers on the lot with all the same wheels. Then they go to four Jeeps and with their star wrenches will take off the three lugs that hold on the spare in a matter of minutes and will then have a set of four wheels to fence!

All I ask DP, is that you shine those tires when you wash her. That looks hot. It's nothing wrong with tire shine. NICE CAR!

Of course, they just spray it on as fast as they can. I use it but then take a cloth and spread and smooth it on.

I spray it on the tires, then let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe off the excess. She's a beauty.

Good-looking Wrangler! I toyed with the idea of getting a 4-door Unlimited; even drove one. Agree with you on the soft top, but really didn't want to have to futz getting the manual top up in a sudden rainstorm, and I don't do any off-roading, anyway. Finally I decided to get something big enough to haul kids and grandkids when they're here. Need room for the danged carseats. So I got a 2013 Ford Expedition—with a sunroof, so I can pretend it's a convertible. And it's got 4WD, come the winter.
Chrysler, of course, is an Italian company now. . .

Well, yeah! You could say that about another thousand products the U.S. used to make.
It would be wonderful if corporate America returned to their roots and again manufactured their products here. Was it really worth it to ship all those good jobs offshore just so the rich could get even richer? Yeah, that really helped this country out. 8-)
I'm not sure if I understand the point you were trying to make. I have a feeling you didn't get the point I was trying to make. What I was trying to say was in the absence of a car that is 100% US, a Jeep - especially considering the OP's local - probably has the best impact on the OP's local economy. Yes, a good portion of the sale will go to other countries, but it's not possible to completely avoid that. It would be nice if it was, but it's not.
