TIA == Transient Ischemic Attack
short duration loss of blood flow in the brain or other organ

......if TIA....there is medication they should have given within a certain time frame to reduce damage.....

Thanks everyone for the positive thoughts and well wishes, it means a lot to me.
My wife did tell me that they said I may have had a TIA which doesn't show up on an MRI. I didn't remember them telling us this. They had me on Fentanyl while in the ER and after the next episode had me on Morphine while in the reg. hospital room. So I was a little out of it while many of the tests results were coming in and when the Drs were coming in and I don't hear very well.

Something we didn't think to mention was I had been having moderate to severe headaches for nearly two weeks before last Fridays episode but they have subsided since then. I rarely have headaches unless I'm having sinus problems.
I see my GP this afternoon.

A few years ago I had a mild TIA, which did show up on an MRI. Had no pain or other symptoms except for a little weakness in the left leg, which dissipated over a day or two.

Scary. I hope those symptoms don't recur and somebody has an answer for you.
