I guess I'll have to be the one to shout out my favorite, Wild Turkey 101 proof. Squeeze of lemon, neat.

Sheltering in place 4hrs away from our home.

We have been here now 6 weeks.

First thing we did was to find supply lines.

There is a local supermarket chain which is excellent - Market Basket, if others want to know.

I’m living with both my most wonderful wife, both young adult daughters and one of their boyfriends.

So then I needed a liquor store.

Surprisingly, not a great selection.

But I went with one of my regulars: Elijah Craig Small Batch.

I’ll probably finish it today or tomorrow.

Sipping and it took a little more than a month.

Imagining that we will be here for another 4+ weeks, I already bought my next bottle - Buffalo Trace.

I could have gone with Redemption.

If we are here in June, I sure hope not, maybe I’ll go with Basil.

My fav?

Angel’s Envy.

Enjoy.

Stay well.

Rob

Agreed. I saw this post last night, and after already having 2 Redemption Old Fashioneds, I made a Redemption Nor'Easter with the last drops of maple syrup in the house. I will be doing that again! My wife said it's like a fancy bourbon mule.

Basil Hayden is my go to bourbon if someone else is paying.

But one of my go to cocktails with Bulleit is the Nor'Easter: Bourbon, a squeeze of lime, a tsp of maple syrup and ginger beer.

OMG, this sounds fabulous...and I still have some of TJ's Triple Ginger Beer from Christmas.

There is a distillery near me that I REALLY like, Swede Hill.
Their moonshine is OK, but the whiskey is my favorite currently.

Ditto that lime and ginger beer apertif above, I will have to try that, thanks.

Staples:
Maker's 46 - nearly empty
Elijah Craig Very Small Batch - just opened
BT

Other faves:
Jefferson's Small Batch
Woodford Reserve
Four Roses Small Batch

Costco Bourbon: I've heard it's more premium now than it was several years ago, haven't drank it in about 8 years...it was better as a mixer then.

My problem is I also like really good beer. And staying in good shape. Hard to balance all three of these!

At least you all don't need to leave the country for your drink of choice. I have a softness for Cuban Rum, it puts a new meaning to smooth, cream isn't as smooth as Ron Mulata.

as for bourbon - Old Forrester.
