if used eBay is $650 and this guy sells it for half that price and is out of town and wanted you to pay deposit... then it's a scam.
Do you need PRO? just get a non-pro M1 or M2 and that will run circles around your 2012 Mini and your windows laptop.
Stop looking for PRO version when you have stuff that barely works.

Good idea. The only reason I was going for a PRO model was because I want whatever I end up getting to be as future-proof as possible.

yup!I hear ya! I’m looking at m1 minis now and they are within my price range if I can sell my Windows laptop!

$350 is a scam price for Mac Mini M2 PRO. I missed that on the first read, and thought, "16GB 500GB for $350 is a very good but not insane ripoff value."
No way someone is selling an M2 PRO at that price today, it's still a much more capable Mac than a new $700-800 M4 mini that otherwise matches those specs.
