Not at all.

I have virtually no experience teaching at that grade level. I have only hazy recollections of my own 7th and 8th grade science instruction.

I do know, however, that one of the reasons we don't let 7th graders vote is that they do not reason in the same way as adults. I do not think that all of the strategies I use for teaching adult students would be effective in your class room.
