Since my father died in '99 we have hosted Thanksgiving since we have the most room. Family and a few friends travel from various parts of NYS and NJ up to the Albany area. Numbers have ranged from 12-22 over the years. This year I think we are going to hit a new high. Everyone brings a dish or drink, we provide the turkey, dressing and scalloped oysters. What makes it fun is providing vegetarian and gluten free variations for the different diets.

Sister's in the N. burbs, every year (except the one I got stuck trying to unclog a tenant's bathtub half the day).
Makes me feel old . . . an annual whack over the head with "has it been another year already??"

We always have Thanksgiving at my in-laws in Atlanta which is about 40 minutes away. My mom comes from about 100 miles away and my sister-in-law and her children come from Virginia. It won't be much fun and the food will be hit or miss, but it should be over relatively quickly. Too bad I'm not much of a drinker; at times like these it could come in handy. :biggrin:

I usually take my Dad out to a nice restaurant, but this year my sister moved back to MI from Florida and invited us to celebrate TD. We are both kind of stoked, as she is a wizard in the kitchen.
The only negative is the 200 mile round trip drive. (worth it though!)

Seriously, that's a lot of driving, especially after a big TD dinner!
