I will add that apart from my two USB hubs I have a Firewire hub. This has my scanner, a cable for my camcorder, my Studio digitiser and a spare cable ready for either HDs or doing Target mode for visiting sick Macs.

Macs get sick? I always thought it was sick Mac users!

I don't have one, but willbe getting a couple

Just tired of swapping out the peripherals

At the same time, have ordered a low power USB flash drive that works in the keyboard

Keyboard. Mouse (wireless dongle plugged into USB port on keyboard). Scanner. iPhone. UPS. Inkjet printer. Bluetooth headset (charges through USB port).

I need to get a USB SDHC card reader next.

My 7-port USB hub is actually looking a little less crowded than before. Not a bad thing.

The problem with doing that, is that the flash drive will dumb down to USB 1.1 when you plug into a device that's operating with USB 1.1 protocols. So your flash drive will be slow slow slow...
