it's clear that lots of folks don't care about double-dipping or putting their saliva back into common food, and that's OK as long as you have the decency to get the "a-OK" from anyone else that might also be eating that common food. Problem is, people that are OK with it tend to think everyone else is as well, and as a result they don't check with other parties.

This is similar to the chip dip controversy where someone dips the same chip repeatedly between bites.

Guy was wiping his sweaty forehead with his plate wiping towel on Masterchef. They called him on it repeatedly each episode until he left the show. He didn't last long.

ah yes, the double dip clip
