I understand this and I feel the same way..people develop chips on their shoulders in the strangest ways, I try to get beyond the misunderstandings that occur in these places and not hold petty grudges..but this was one is clearly a sign that Administration has made a suspect and inconsistent call without doing any due diligence to find out exactly what those posts were about.

I was told to include a paragraph explaining where this language came from..what i was hoping for was for someone to recognize the language..which would have happened and was the 'point' of the post..I don't want or need to be told how to frame my posts..as drivels, nonsensical and obtuse and stupid as they may be.

It always makes me suspicious in instances like these where someone doesn't understand something and they knee jerk towards taking it as sinister-malicious-nasty-..these kinds of responses are dangerous and reek of people who can't accept the "different" and are fearful of it...

What Paul F. said.
Thanks Wig but I have my own process and it's perfectly healthy. Speaking about it is good..not speaking about it? IMO that would seem to go against your own tendency to be frank about stuff.

Paul decided that the best course would be to insult me and then offer 'advice'. If he was standing there looking at me I'd pinch his tits.

Kraniac, what this suggests to me is that small things upset you disproportionatly and that you have a hard time moving past them. So much so that you felt compelled to start a second thread about it. Doesn't appear healthy at all.

Dr. Uncle, what this suggests to me is that your wisdomatic observation is unfounded and based on not a damn thing that is rooted in reality.

What you just wrote has been written by self appointed, not completely informed, armchair internet gurus a million times in response to people, like me, who object to various internet events that piss them off for a brief moment in a lifetime... Have you never been pissed off for a few hours or are you the singular example of purity in the history of this Earth?

Speaking in my capacity as a professional editor, I understand Kraniac's objection completely, and do not feel that his concerns are unhealthy at all -- the distinction between light censorship and editorial destruction can be a fine one. Although I might disagree with the admin's editing suggestions, they were at least offered in a polite and civilized fashion.

On the other hand, telling Kraniac he has too much time on his hands or is unhealthy in his concerns, is getting awfully close to trying to pick a fight.

MRFriends,

I agree with CBelt... This forum is an outlet that exists at the whim of OWC; arguing with the admins is worse than arguing with the ref or the ump in sports. It could get US ALL THROWN OUT.

I understand likewise the concern of censorship... but unless you want the site to go behind an "age verification paywall" we can't willfully allow cuss words on here. I understand some bypass the filters in oh-so-clever ways; every time I see that I wish they wouldn't.

Thank you!
