Good stuff there, as markety as it is. I bought a nice safety razor and all the accoutrements. Best shaving ever, blades last a long time.

I think you'd have to do a whole lot of shaving to fill up the space between two studs to a depth of 4 feet or so with thin little safety razor blades. Someone better at math could take a shot at it. Might be several average lifetimes.
My house was built in the mid-20's and my bathroom remodel was likely the first time down to the studs. There was a pretty good pile of old blades, according to the contractor. I found a bunch down in the basement below where there's a crude 1/4 bathroom. My brother-in-law used to specialize in old home remodels and he said he found them often.

I threaten to learn to use a DE razor, but haven't got 'round to it just yet.
Everyday, I shave with an Sensor razor while showering, and follow up with a quick Norelco buzz. This is the only way I get a close shave.
The Excel blades only get me three great shaves (not close, but not pulling) and they're done. I use them longer, but there is some pulling and it only gets worse.
I can use any soap or foam, but I still need an electric to finish.

one could spend some serious coin at the AoS. Maybe Harrys when I go thru the batch of 20 Sensor blades I just bought from 1Sale (made in Aussieland, or from there for some reason.)
But $150 for shaving set up at AoS? That's 2 really good bottles of bourbon. 5 great bottles of Spanish red.

My ex gave me a close shave before we split (or was it after...) some 35 years ago. I haven't needed to shave since. I don't recommend it. Thank God Brazilians weren't in style back then.

No one else like the Emjoi triple-blade (curved) razors?
I shave in the shower - Panasonic electric if skin feels too irritated for blade.
I am seriously considering laser treatment to reduce/soften hair on my neck since for me it's much easier to irritate skn there than the hair on my face when shaving with a blade.

I've gotten used to just a blade-- no plug, no foam, no Triple blades that squirt aloe... Skin toughens up, I guess.
Sure is fast: 1/10 the time that my electric shaver took.
