what happens if Time Machine is active, and I close the lid? - space-time - 03-17-2011 I have Time Machine backing up to an Airport Shared drive. Sometimes I forget to check whether a backup is in progress and I just close the lid. Will that screw up the backup? or TM will pick up from where it left when I open the lid a few hours later? I never pay any attention to whether it's running or not when I put the computer to sleep and have never suffered for it (that I know of, anyway). When I realized, came back and checked the Time Machine had completed its work and the computer had gone to sleep. And in this case, when you close the lid it still flushes just as much as if you left the lid open. |
