But they are replacing it with plastic bills that are guaranteed not to stick to your tongue in sub-zero weather.
The Bank of Canada will start issuing high-tech currency made of polymers instead of the traditional cotton paper and featuring transparent windows (one shaped like a maple leaf) to frustrate counterfeiters.

we hadsomething similar for about a decade in Romania. They looked strange at first, but we got used to them very quickly.

Maybe it will be perforated so you can tear off a piece to make change. Then they can stop using coins, as well. :wiggle:
