Canada to stop making paper money

But they are replacing it with plastic bills that are guaranteed not to stick to your tongue in sub-zero weather.

The Bank of Canada will start issuing high-tech currency made of polymers instead of the traditional cotton paper and featuring transparent windows (one shaped like a maple leaf) to frustrate counterfeiters.

we hadsomething similar for about a decade in Romania. They looked strange at first, but we got used to them very quickly.

Strange article title. They're just doing away with cotton. Paper can be made of polymers. It can even be made of rock. http://www.businessweek.com/innovate/con...838134.htm

…but can you use it as TP in a pinch?

Maybe it will be perforated so you can tear off a piece to make change. Then they can stop using coins, as well. :wiggle:
