Went to the hilt on the capacity, because I may be owning this one for a while...
And then after contract expires, can still be used as iPod Touch, right?

Me too! Got the black 16gb. When Verizon finally got the iphone I was not eligible to upgrade. Now I can but it'll cost me $20. Oh well. I have waited long enough!!

Ask them to wave the fee. If you have been with them for awhile they shoul do it.

Not everyone has the money for a $600+ phone and $90+ per month phone plan. Perhaps Jem did not previously have the means to afford such an investment. I would think it unnecessary to pry.
