Bottled my mead today - lazydays - 05-09-2012

I've had five gallons of mead aging for the last year and today I bottled it. Soon happiness will rein supreme.

Mead? Really! Cool!

I had a recipe for mead that involved burying it in the yard. The logic was that you'll be too impatient to consume it so the instructions said to bury it for 10-12 months and put a reminder on your calendar.

Oh, and don't mix with Vicodin.

That works for kimchi.

I started a few bottles of limoncello yesterday. Nice summer drink.

And some coffee liquor last week.

Next week I'll make some sangria for a weekend party

Mead? Do want!

Re: Bottled my mead today - lazydays - 05-09-2012

I made the mead last year sometime and stuck it in my fermentation fridge to control the temp. I literally forgot about it until this spring when I brewed a batch of beer, went to put it in the fridge, and there was the mead!

I've never had either of those drinks. What are they like? Thread jacked my own thread.

Limoncello is a lemon infused vodka that is sweetened with some simple syrup. It is used as a palate cleanser/degustivo. Served chilled. It can also be used as the base for many cocktails. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limoncello

Sangria is a combination of wine and fruit. There are a million different recipes out there, but the best thing to do is experiment until you find your own. We like red wine based and white wine based . Smile http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sangria

L'chiam!
