Four hours with no power and 95 degree heat ~!~ - haikuman - 05-08-2013 After sweating like a pig I/we checked into a hotel for part of the day. Third World issues exist sometimes. Weather clouds accumulating . . . Volcanos erupting . . . There is something in the air. Dive dive dive ~!~ ![]() Re: Four hours with no power and 95 degree heat ~!~ - DP - 05-08-2013 Rudie, at least it's not snowing! It's been perfect here for a week-sunny and low 70's-but we may be looking at some cool nights this weekend. Maybe close to freezing Saturday and Sunday nights... Re: Four hours with no power and 95 degree heat ~!~ - Golfer - 05-08-2013 Well, better 95 than -5. Re: Four hours with no power and 95 degree heat ~!~ - Drew - 05-08-2013 You'll be sending it here soon enough I suppose. At 20:30 it was probably 90 inside my house. Fans weren't making a dent in the temp either. We finally broke down and turned the AC on...but it didn't work. It was a miserable, hot night at my home. My 3 year old son wouldn't sleep and my wife is one of those people who sweats like crazy at night. She ended up going into the basement and sleeping on the futon in my office. As a result, I had about 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep. |
