Sigma DG 35mm F1.4 vs Leica Summicron-R 35mm F2.0 informal test yields surprises - pRICE cUBE - 08-17-2013 Recently Sigma's higher end lenses have been matching and in some cases outperforming Canon and Nikon equivalents. Now Sigma is upping their reputation by outperforming higher end brands? Not a scientific test but I wouldn't be surprised it Sigma's latest lenses outperform Leica. The first of 35/2 Summicron-R lenses were introduced in 1970, and was surpassed by the 35/1.4 Summilux-R of 1984... Google "Putz column 28-35 mm Leica R" for more info. |
