Currently we just use the AC on killer days (like the last 2). I assume we could use a ductless system the same and we wouldn't need to cool 24/7 once th season starts. I imagine you could choose to use it any way you would like

A day to install? $4k or so all in? maybe an afternoon for 5 guys and an easy install ( unless their expertise is hamburgers )

I've only used the pre-charged line-sets a couple of times. It's usually hard piped on hangers in a commercial application and we've run way long with the appropriate upsize in pipe.

The refrigeration and power/control wires will be run between the evap units and the condenser. Looks/sturdiness will depend on you, the installer, and local code.
