how to undo this or at least spin in his favor - pbarra1 - 05-21-2016 My son is applying for a paid internship in germany. As he was working on the email with his attachments he hit something and the email sent but the message he was typing was incomplete. He has since sent the email again with the attachments and the complete message typed in but is there a way to spin this in his favor. The irony is that the position is for someone with excellent communication and social media skills in addition to the language skills. TIA Re: how to undo this or at least spin in his favor - rgG - 05-21-2016 Cat hit the send button? ![]() Re: how to undo this or at least spin in his favor - GGD - 05-21-2016 A good method for the future when working on long important email messages is to leave the "To:" field empty until just before you're sure you want to sent it. Re: how to undo this or at least spin in his favor - pbarra1 - 05-21-2016 he was typing and hit the tab button followed by the enter button. Hitting tab sent the cursor to the send button and hitting enter clicked the send button Re: how to undo this or at least spin in his favor - rgG - 05-21-2016 pbarra1 wrote: Definitely blame it on the cat. ![]() Re: how to undo this or at least spin in his favor - Yoyodyne ArtWorks - 05-21-2016 Always good to start off an employment relationship with a fib. Jawohl! Re: how to undo this or at least spin in his favor - OWC Jamie - 05-21-2016 and then spend eternity maintaining the status quo of that fib. not a good road to be on Re: how to undo this or at least spin in his favor - fauch - 05-21-2016 Would he really want to work for a company that is so uptight, that this would be an issue??? Then again, it IS Germany... Re: how to undo this or at least spin in his favor - Yoyodyne ArtWorks - 05-21-2016 He should just tell them he was so wasted on Jaegermeister when he sent the email that he couldn't have found his own ass with a compass. If he's gonna fib, go big! Re: how to undo this or at least spin in his favor - STL - 05-21-2016 I recommend he tell them the truth - he accidentally clicked the send button before he had completed the email. My hunch is virtually all of us have done the same at least once. When you tell the truth you only have to remember what actually happened rather than what you told somebody about what happened. |
