Trackpad 2 - silver $20 cheaper - Wags - 09-17-2019 I guess I blame China? Re: Trackpad 2 - silver $20 cheaper - NewtonMP2100 - 09-17-2019 ....we live in a society that devalues the elderly....so yes, the silver haired one is cheaper (worth less) in their eyes..... Re: Trackpad 2 - silver $20 cheaper - jonny - 09-17-2019 Not sure what's silver about it (the edges, I guess) The top surface is white. Re: Trackpad 2 - silver $20 cheaper - sekker - 09-18-2019 I thought the darker model reflected the 'Pro' monicker. Re: Trackpad 2 - silver $20 cheaper - RAMd®d - 09-18-2019 Blame steve jobs - the 2006-2008 black macbook cost $100 more than the white one. Black is 'cool', silver is not. It actually only cost $50 more. I bought one. It got the larger HD option, and when compared to the white MB with that option, it was only $50 more, so I went for it, happily. Hint: The Apple Card will fit in one's wallet, the TrackPad won't. The Apple Card may stain, the TrackPad won't. All my MTP's have a silver surface. Re: Trackpad 2 - silver $20 cheaper - NewtonMP2100 - 09-18-2019 ....Cheaper By the Dozen......??? White surface as opposed the the gen 1 silver. White isn't $20 cheaper; black is $20 more. I guess the white matches the keys in most Apple standalone keyboards, but it does look out of place next to today's iMac and Macbooks. I can see why some people miss the silver surface. |
