Predict Mac mini Core 2 Duo - IronMac - 02-17-2007 Out of extreme curiousity mixed in with procrastination, does anyone care to speculate when Apple might be introducing Core 2 Duo minis? Re: Predict Mac mini Core 2 Duo - zachdog - 02-17-2007 I don't know but it's taking way too long. This is the desktop Mac that switchers gravitate to and yet it uses yesterday's technology. Our office needs a new Mac for the interns yet I won't purchase one until Apple upgrades the mini. Re: Predict Mac mini Core 2 Duo - Zoidberg - 02-17-2007 On the same token, though, this is supposed to be the bare-bones low-cost entry point. Older chip = lower cost. Re: Predict Mac mini Core 2 Duo - OWC Jamie - 02-17-2007 Apple really should address this drooling with envy issue. :-) Seriously. I want one, too. Re: Predict Mac mini Core 2 Duo - Panopticon - 02-17-2007 what billb said. Hopefully, a C2D and better graphics. I'd settle for a combo drive as I prefer FW burners! Seriously drooling ![]() Re: Predict Mac mini Core 2 Duo - jdc - 02-17-2007 i thought it would be january myself not sure wtf is taking so long, macbook had been C2D since november 8th, nearly 4 months ago i too would like a couple... On the same token, since it uses an older chip why don't they lower the price? I know these older chips fall in price all the time. I think they should be selling the lower Mini for about $400-450. Hard drive, optical drive and ram prices are also way down. So G11, you work for free? BGnR Re: Predict Mac mini Core 2 Duo - JEBB - 02-17-2007 Maybe the mini isn't selling well and they have a large inventory to clear before changing over to the C2D. |
