The death of science in the United States of America - cbelt3 - 05-02-2025 That is what Trump and the Republican Party are doing. Research ? Gone. Basic science ? Gone. Universities that turn out scientists capable of building the 22nd century ? Destroyed. Intelligent students ? Put in concentration camps or deported or imprisoned in a foreign country. They are not only destroying our country, they are destroying our hope of a future. I'm hearing that scientists and others at places like NIH and NSF, including people who have lost their jobs, are still finding ways to funnel money to ongoing clinical trials and projects. On the other side, don't believe this administration when they claim to have restarted funding. For example, the funding for the Women's Health Initiative has not been restored, though that was promised. Just so much destructive, pointless chaos.
