5 gigs a month - michael_s - 05-06-2008 Looking at cellular data plans to use as primary internet access. Is there any way to know how much bandwidth I use now? Most plans start to charge after 5 gigs. Is that plenty? Re: 5 gigs a month - timg - 05-06-2008 [quote michael_s]Looking at cellular data plans to use as primary internet access. Is there any way to know how much bandwidth I use now? Most plans start to charge after 5 gigs. Is that plenty? That depends entirely on what you do ... Are you planning to check email every couple of days or are you planning on downloading tons of movies? Re: 5 gigs a month - onthedownlow - 05-06-2008 Sprint data services are unlimited (well, if you choose the unlimited plan - used to be they had a per data plan at a rate and the unlimited plan was only $10 more). Re: 5 gigs a month - Jimmypoo - 05-06-2008 Depends on the bandwidth too. It might be impossible to exceed it, if it is only 256kbit. OK... not impossible, but you know what I mean. Let's just say, you won't be renting iTMS movies at that speed... Re: 5 gigs a month - The UnDoug - 05-07-2008 5 gigs seems like an insanely huge amount for cell phone data. I have the unlimited with Sprint, so I've never paid attention to it, but I don't know how you'd go that high.... Re: 5 gigs a month - timg - 05-07-2008 But do you use your cell phone data plan as your primary internet access? I'm thinking michael_s is wanting to hook his computer through the cell phone data network. |
