Envelope with plastic window - recyclable??? - The UnDoug - 02-22-2010 I try to recycle whatever I can--could do a lot better, I know--and I often get envelopes with the little see through plastic "window" where an address is displayed. Can I simply put those in the bin with other paper recyclables? (Giant vat of soup :-) ) I worry about vinyl(s) (coatings) and glues in compost so I avoid paper shreddings in the compost that might end up in my vegetable garden.
