I'm confused by the specs. If you add up all the watts, it comes out to over 900. But the specs say 330w.

That's power consumption, not output.

Okay, I need to get rid of some of these.

an appleTV AND a mini? 2 cable boxes?

It just sneaks up on you. I had the Apple TV, but was using boxee/XMBC more and more for non-Apple media. So I decided to switch to Plex running on a dedicated Mini. Meanwhile, the resale value of the ATV was not worth the effort. So I kept it to allow rentals & watching previously purchased DRMed content.

Then my DSL was being really dog-slow for a couple weeks. Got fed up and had cable internet installed, but kept the DSL as a backup (which has been useful). Note that the DSL & cable also come with phone & TV service, so I have two cable boxes now. The DSL TV has a live concert channel in HD that I love, so I didn't want to part with that.

It really helps that utilities (like DSL & Cable) are relatively cheap in France.
