I still manage one book a week, at least as long as Goodwill and Salvation Army are cheaper than e-books.

So I hurt my back again. I'm stuck in bed till Monday when I get an MRI. Or at least that's when they will schedule one. I'm guessing a few days and I'll be feeling better if not well. I'm just...bored. What did people do before the internet?

So far I watched Around the World in 80 Days (one of my favorites) and Dredd.

Homeland, first 2 seasons = 24 episodes.

Don't mean to tell you what to do (none of my business), but in case you are close to 40 or over like alot of other forumites, PLEASE do not stay in bed for 2-3 days. You are at significant risk for blood clots to form by being that sedentary. Please google DVT (deep venous thrombosis or deep vein clot in lay terms) to understand my concern. If you do not have any reasons not to take aspirin (allergy or active/recent ulcer primarily), then start taking at least 81mg aspirin a day while incapacitated. I don't want to read about your demise from a pulmonary embolus.

And, just FYI, has been proven by multiple studies that bed rest is the worst thing for acute back pain.... just sayin'

Sincerely wishing you get better soon!

Netflix, pick a TV series, and dive in; don't forget to get up and walk from time to time.

Walker, Texas Ranger.

Not much of a series, though I watched all but the last of the last season. Norris (Chuck) started appearing less and less. I don't know that if it was illness or age, but his karate-fu (yes, I know) was getting weak.

Or maybe it was just the jeans and boots.

I wish some really good comedians would to all the Chuck Norris jokes. Most of them really crack me up, though I hear Norris is not amused. That's just sad.

Some suggestions-- Episodes, Sherlock, The Bridge, Doc Martin, Castle, Bones, Suits, White Collar, Justifed, Strike Back, Blue Bloods, Continuum, Covert Affairs, Longmire, Magic City, Modern Family, Midsomer Murders, Top Gear, planet earth (the BBC version)...

Most of this gamut should be available on Netflix. A few of these are British products. You may find something you like.
