No problem with reconciling our posts once we clarified switching to older non LTE phones is hard and newer LTE phones as being GSM simple. Good info with that link. Thanks.

Quick tip for any Verizon users out there. Lot of really solid LTE phones from the last three years floating around for $100 and less. Pretty much any would make a nice backup device for your more expensive iPhone, Galaxy S3/S4/S5, Note 1/2/3, etc. Since swapping LTE cards should be pretty easy, might be worth checking into for some users.
