Wow, for as adamant as you are that he's stated incorrect info, I'd say just the opposite. Everything he mentioned in that post is most definitely true except for the increased bat speed part (and that's only on a technicality). Perhaps they haven't done studies in the manner you have stated but I don't need studies of thousands to prove that if I put my hand in a fire there is a good chance I'm going to get burned. There has been many a player/former that has stated that the drugs help them recover more quickly, etc. Doctors prescribe them legally in part for this specific reason. There is some logic behind these statements about improved performance and it's not just some alarmist squawking.
[quote vision63]pRON, as much as I love you, nothing that you are saying here is true. There aren't any studies that prove any of that. No one is going to feed anyone steroids to measure it's effects. I'm sure more that half of baseball used "performance enhancing drugs" to some extent which didn't seem to help much at all. But we wouldn't even know that without proper studies.

I respect how you feel (vkim), but without any real facts based on data extrapolated across many baseball atheletes, your thinking on this particular issue is mere speculation. MLB would lose every lawsuit if they decided to get retroactive regarding performance enhancing drugs.
Also remember, Bonds for example, isn't in trouble for his usage of steroids, but for denying he was aware of it. Basically a lie like Clinton getting a bj. That is the sum total of what his alleged baseball crimes amount to.

All he had to do was put duct tape over his mouth. Bozo to the max. 23 million per. Gees you could get a nice car with that kind of money and finance it.

Aaron and others of his time including Willie Mays did "red." A liquid "speed." The players were not so pure.Stuff was easy to get back when.
