Anyone used Zymöl car wax?
#11
To clarify what Chupa^2 said, there are two varieties of Zymol, the genuine stuff that costs a lot, and is sold through automobilia shops, and the stuff made by Turtle Wax using the name under license, which can be found in chain stores.

It really depends on what you're looking for, protection or appearance. The real Zymol is more of a show wax. Appearance is good, but it isn't durable. It does have a pleasant smell reminiscent of tropical fruit.

If you want a more durable finish, Blitz, or Collinite wax is a good suggestion. Both, however, are somewhat old school organic waxes, not the newfangled synthetic sealants like Zaino.

Detailing supplies are like cosmetics for car buffs. Very trendy, very subjective, very YMMV, and the boutique lines can be very expensive.

I just want to freshen up a 10-year-old finish and put a good protective wax on it.
