I spoke to the artist and showed him the thread on my iPhone.
He was excited and asked me to email the link to this thread
for his blog. He is a Mac user BTW--had a MacBook Pro set up
in one of the gallery rooms where he was doing the exchange-
a-balloon-drawing-for-a-gift thing. At the moment of exchange,
he captured a photo of both the drawing and the gift next to
each other with a Canon DSLR tethered to his MBP, and displayed
the gifts on a wall of shelves. He has received quite a fabulous
and growing collection of doodads and what-nots.

What I found interesting about all this was that he had devised
a collection of "algorithms" to generate art. All of the pieces
could be abstracted to a set of instructions to follow, which he
then implemented with great discipline.

I cannot watch the video at this moment, but the first thing that struck me was the utility of that - it's perfect for transporting flat art work (although the "easel" on the rear should be turned upside down). When I return home, I want to see what this is about...
