Seriously, I bought it because back when I was a young guy eons ago, I unwittingly got involved in a cult and wasted nearly 5 years of my life being a spellbound follower of someone whose pathology I still struggle to understand (along with my own). He very likely was what some in the world of psychology call a "malignant narcissist". The author of this book had an excerpt online http://www.suite101.com/discussion.cfm/v...use/111791 that described my old cult leader and his MO in such an uncannily accurate way, I thought it worthwhile to read more by him. I had formerly though my old cult leader was a psychopath or sociopath, but those labels never fit him very well IMHO.

So now you know.

Funny, I know someone else that got involved in a cult when they were a teen.
