star trek uses a stargate

- The actor that played Tom Paris played a member of Wesley's cadet group who messed up a forbidden exercise and got someone killed. wrote:

The character from that TNG episode was the basis of the Voyager character(that's why they used the same actor), they just changed the name so they wouldn't have to pay more money to the writer of that particular TNG episode.

And Tim Russ was also in Star Trek Generations as a bridge officer of the Enterprise-B. (he's also a big Star Trek fan)

To add to MGS' post (was just hopping to post about the whole Tom Paris thing).

- Ensign Ro got it on with Riker.

FWIW, Deep Space 9 was originally supposed to be a vehicle, of sorts, for Ro Laren (Michelle Forbes), but Forbes* decided to exit stage right from TREK rather than do a series, so instead we got Nana Visitor as Major Kira, one of the main reasons I never got into DS9. (To each his own, but I found her annoying.)

*(Loved Forbes' stint in GALACTICA; she's great in the stand-alone movie RAZOR if you haven't seen it.)

I found it interesting on a recent watch that Data was called a toaster, like the Cylons.

Wow, I had an episode of Enterprise on this afternoon and Seth Macfarlane of Family Guy fame had a bit part. Wasn't expecting that!
